I wouldn't recommend waiting until Dec. 18 to get your holiday greeting cards started. However, if you do find yourself in the situation that I did, follow my lead:
1. Call up anyone who can hold a camera.
2. Find a neat spot in your house to do the shoot.
3. Lighting is key, so get lit up. We were lucky enough to have the track lighting above our fireplace to angle down at the family.
4. Photoshop it up. I took my face from one shot and worked a little magic to get the end result.
5. Remember to have fun...'Tis the season and all.
