I think we can make it here...

Last nights show was amazing. I am still unsure about how I feel about all of his music. I mean he is a great song writer, a great guitar player, an even better story teller...But some of his subjects of his songs I am not sure if I agree with. Of course anyone who has read about Mr.McMurtry knows I am not the only one who is a little skeptical. Below is one response from McMurtry's website to the song "We cant make it here"... --------------------------------- Hello my name is Josh West, I am writing to you about your song "we can't make it here". What pisses me off is this pussy ass song talking about soldiers, coming from a f*cking liberal yankee who has never served his country. Don't voice your opinions through a soldiers outlook, why don't you go talk to some soldiers and ask them how they feel. I have been to Afghanistan and Iraq and in October of 2003 I w...

James McMurtry eh?

My office is at least 80 degrees which makes it hard to be in a good mood. Throw in a 60 year old woman who is losing her mind and her husband who has worse mood swings than she does, it makes for a pretty tough day. But I'll get over it, I have to. Tonight is a show I have been wanting to see for months now, Mr. James McMurtry is performing live at The Chesterfield. I have yet to see him live, and I can't wait. I am also bidding on a web job for a big phone company. If that goes through it could be the start of something great. The great folks at Cable One came out today and my internet at home is finally up and running. This means I can find work, and conduct business on a national scale. Pretty cool. I also was turned down for a graphic design position with Wells Blue Bunny. See if I ever eat their ice cream again!
