This thing called life is really something.

Tuesday after work I had another interview, for another position. This time though, I think I have a bit of an edge on the rest. You see, the company I am applying to work for used to be merged with my dad's company, House of Graphics. They were in the same building for the longest time, and all treated me like family. The interview was great, somewhat of a reunion with those fellas. The facility is brand new, with state of the art equipment. The attitude of the company and it's employees is completely positive, which is a huge contrast to the current environment I am in. They offer a 401 k plan and benefits, it's like heaven! After we talked for almost an hour and a half I thanked him, jumped in my car and drove home. He called me back yesterday afternoon and had one question for me...Are you dependable? I quickly answered yes, and he followed by telling me that they are extremely interested in having me work for them. Then he asked me to come in Monday when I get done wor...

Pink everywhere, and I am starting to like it!

I just want the child to be healthy, all 10 fingers and all 10 toes! In spite of the pink invasion, Jordan and I will be making a stop by the brand new Super Walmart (like most are, conveniently located 2 blocks from the old Walmart that is now empty-another day another blog)to represent our hood.

This morning I came into work and had a huge stack of papers in front of my computer with a sticky note from my boss that read: Chase, please see me on this right away. It's not as bad as it looks. Assuming that I'd be doing 4 hours of typesetting I slowly dragged my body to my boss' office. However she was right, there was just a few lines here and there that needed re-typed. The booklet is called "Wedding Alternatives" and it a guide to planning your wedding without using the commercially prescribed aspects that seem to distract from the truly important things about marriage and a wedding. It brings up a lot of good points, so if you're getting married this is definitely worth checking out. Saturday I stopped by a friends wedding reception for a few hours, to find all of my high school friends drunk as could be! The reception area was decorated nicely, with plenty of snacks and alcohol. One of my best friends, Jon, was pretty intoxicated to say the least. I ...
