I love my job.

Thanks to my amazing interior painting skills and about $200,000 worth of bad ass computer equipment, our pre-press room is f-ing amazing! The difference from my current employer and my previous employer is extremely obvious. We definitely have money here, and even though they say money doesn't buy happiness, I don't see anyone at work with a frown. The owners here know how to make the staff feel appreciated. For example, does your boss say thanks when they hand you your check, and actually mean it? Mine does. The other big deal is freedom. I get to do what I want, in regards to work flow and design. We also are pitching a whole new campaign here at work to attract existing printers towards bringing their envelope business to us. I'll throw a low-res proof to give you all a taste! Happy hump day yall! I'll throw a few of the postcards/mailers up once we decide on the other images and tag lines! Hope you dig it!

I do it all...

Those of you who know me (personally) will be a little shocked when I tell you this story. No it's not some deep secret or anything like that. I agreed to do some caulking and painting at my office this weekend. With time and a half thrown in my face, how was I to choose otherwise? I'm not exactly Bob Villa...Or even Bob the Builder. I did great in woods class in high school, but as far as general around the house repair I am not your man. My boss said, "Chase, do you think you'd be able to get this room finished this weekend?". I replied quickly, obviously before thinking and said, "Well sure!". I spent a little over 7 hours at the office today and I am hardly 3/4 of the way finished. Not only is our pre-press room massive, but there was caulking, spackling and taping to be done. I plan on spending another 4-5 hours to finish it tomorrow, and I hope they're happy. I cut my finger and it hurt...Pretty bad.
