When nothing seems to be going right, even the smallest accomplishment can make a world of difference. In my case, it was a revelation that came at about 2:00AM last night, after a long night of staring at my computer screen I remembered what I have been trying to think of for months. You see, I believe we don't forget anything. I think we store it somewhere in our minds, which act like a safe. If the safe didn't lock up tight, the thoughts or knowledge might go somewhere else. So then the key is to know how to access that information, or what the combination is. That might be doing things in a certain sequence, or surrounding yourself in the right atmosphere. So The Chesterfield's website will now load so fast...I don't know, but it is fast.

Small talk.

I have come to realize that I hate almost all small talk. Whether it be with friends, co-workers, or a man I am standing next to in line at the local fast food joint. It is just being dishonest. I am a sorta deep person, and I don't like to say, "Great thanks." when someone asks me how I am doing...If I am not doing great! The reason I say this is becaue a gal I work with seems to think we are good friends, and I don't know her at all. Everytime we pass I say, "Hello." and she replies with, "Hey, Chase! (then into a huge story) Man my memory is bad! I am stripping the film here and I can hardly remember what to do! You know what it is like not being able to ..." and she continues. When I am at work I am typically busy, and I don't like to be bugged...Not by anyone. Even if my love calls in she usually gets a pretty short amount of time on the phone before I say, "So did you need anything or?...". Either way, I have found the best meth...

I can't wait to leave the place I am going to want to come back to.

It is about time for a little vacation. The problem is my employer is too cheap to give me vacation time, so by little vacation I mean maybe take off on a Thursday after work, and come home Sunday. Which leaves only a few travel destinations available. The first being Kansas City, MO, and I have nothing against that. I love KC as a vacation spot in fact...There is a Cheesecake Factory downtown, a ton of nice shops to go to, and of course Worlds & Oceans of Fun! The only downside is I have been there a ton of times and not a lot is really new and exciting. The second we could go is Chicago, IL. I have never been, but my father is in love with the town, and so are a couple of my good friends so I figure there has to be something good there. I would really like to go to some of the blues bars there and maybe catch a ball game. The third selection (which is what I really want to do) would be just to head back to Omaha, and spend a few days there in a nice hotel. I know it isn't far...

Shit happens...

The sun was shining...Birds were chirping. It seemed to be one of the easiest mornings as of late. Jordan and I pulled up to day care about 7:40, with plenty of time to spare. As I walked around the car to the other door I saw a few beautiful flowers, but it didn't smell like flowers. That is because I stepped out of my car directly into a pile of dog shit. Happy Monday Chase. Dog poo aside I was determined that today was going to be alright. So far (it's 3:30)I am starting my endeavor into the world of online freelance graphic design when I get home. Hopefully this will be the break I have been looking for. If not it gives me an excuse to spend a little more time learning from my old man. I have been trying to see the positive side to everything, and ignore the negative. Hence this is how I have felt today: It's great the huge horse fly in my office is here because this way I am no longer talking to myself. It is good that my office is 80+ degrees, sweating clears the pore...
