A quick update

Well there isn't a whole lot on my mind today. It's Friday, and I only worked 3 days this week, which was stupendous. Also, I have my second interview on Monday at the blood bank. I feel pretty confident about this interview. I mean the position involves web, graphic design, marketing and writing...Pretty sweet combination for a guy with my background. The only thing I am unsure of is whether or not to mention the fact that I tried to give blood once...See I was just reclined in the comfortable chair, drinking some juice I think and looking out the window at the trees blowing in the wind. Next thing I know I wake up with some big black lady pumping my legs like I was riding an imaginary bicycle! She was yelling, "Just breathe, just breathe!" and I said, "I am! What are you doing? I'm fine!". And I was(except for the whole passing out part). Oh well...I still got a sweet sticker!

I quit.

One night, a little over a year ago, I decided to quit smoking. I was sitting there with my friend Derek after a long night of drinking. I had smoked since graduating high school and just like that, I snapped my last cigarette in half and haven't smoked since. Nor will I ever again. It feels great to have that kind of self control. In the same spur of the moment type deal, last night on the way home from my parents bar I decided I am done drinking. And I mean it. Truth is I don't like the way I act about 50% of the time when I drink...Most of those times I end up hurting someone close to me, or just plain make a fool out of myself. This doesn't mean I won't party. The whole 'get drunk to have fun' idea is a horrible misconception I carried around for years now. To have a good time and to party, drinking must be involved...WRONG! Add in the fact that some people in our family have had trouble with alcohol, it just seems pretty f-ing logical to call it quits. Besi...

E.T.A. 7 weeks and counting.

With around 7 weeks until the baby is due I am starting to feel the heat. I also feel like I don't have anyone to really talk to. Maybe that is because I don't like it when people tell me they know how I feel. Because they don't. You may know how you felt when you were in a similar situation...But you don't know how I feel. Saying you do isn't going to make things any better. By the way...This isn't a poke at anyone particular, in fact I get this response no matter who I try to talk to. Thus is also the reason I rarely talk about my situation to anyone. Besides hoping that our child is healthy, which thus far the doctors tell us ours is, I am really worried about providing a good life for my family. I am going crazy at the job I am at now (recently I have attributed this feeling to the fact I don't get to talk to anyone all day, except myself) but I can't just take a chance and quit without knowing I can get another job. Then again I can't make what...

The best part of waking up...

Having a day off is never really having the day off. Seems like I work at home then the whole time I am 'on vacation'. Plus you throw in the games of ball with J, watching Elmo in Grouchland (great movie, I'd totally recommend it- if you're 2), and our random eating sessions my days off are pretty busy. But even still I love it far more than a typical day at my current job. It is about 7:30 in the morning, I'm enjoying a fresh cup of Foldgers, and I have some pretty sweet plans today. My fiance has to work, so Jordan and I are going to run some errands. I have to stop by Hobby Lobby to grab some canvas for a project I am starting today. I have been recently inspired to do some painting again so I figure with today and tomorrow off, I can make some headway! I am hesitant going to HL though, because with Jordan and his quick hands, we could end up walking out of there with a lot more than we originally wanted to get! I'll have to keep him locked up in the cart. We...
